Practice Policies
The only way to become a better swimmer is through practice. Therefore, attendance is critical to your child’s personal success this summer. Once most local schools are out, practice will be offered mornings and evenings on the days and times indicated on the Practice Schedule page.
- Swimmers must not be left unsupervised by an identified adult at practice during non-lifeguarded practices. Coaches are only responsible for the swimmers that are in the water during their designated practice time. Siblings must be directly supervised during practice times by an identified adult when they are on the Brynwood Pool grounds.
- Morning practice is the preferred practice to attend as we are limited to four lanes in the evening and more coaches will be available in the morning to provide better individual stroke attention.
- Swimmers are encouraged to wear goggles to every practice and meets. Swimmers are not allowed to wear flotation devices. Swim caps are encouraged as well.
- There will be no morning practice on Wednesdays because of Tuesday night swim meets.
- Our coaching staff may offer stroke clinics again this year posted on the practice schedule. These clinics have a limited number of spots and must be reserved with full payment in advance. Stroke clinics will be where swimmers work intensively on a specific stroke. Swimmers must be at least 7 years old and semi-proficient in the strokes.
